Will Ferrell’s Dad to be on the Office…

Okay, that was an old school droppin joke for anyone who missed it. No Will Ferrell’s Dad won’t be on The Office but Will Ferrell will be as apparently he has signed on for a 4 episode story arc where he will “replace” Steve Carrell’s Michael Scott for the last 4 episodes of the season. First Ricky Gervais comes back to reprise the David Brent role and now Will Ferrell is showing up. What’s next? Jack Black? He’s due for a cameo on a TV show I think…
Everyone on the internet, news media included, seems to think Ferrell is going to play this ala Ron Burgundy but if there is anything you can count on from Will its that he will do exactly what you think he won’t. I bet he plays this totally straight with no humor whatsoever…

Because something big might be on your horizon. What would you say to moving up from a Band Manager to an Office Manager…or a Regional Manager of a small paper company if you will? That’s right rumors floating around have Murray Hewitt, aka Rhys Darby in real life, up for the role of Michael Scott’s replacement in NBC’s sitcom “The Office”. Will it be any good? Well the show has more than run its course and most fans are ready to just give it up. That said, Rhys might be the only person outside of Ricky Gervais himself that can be as awkward as Steve Carrell so who knows. Stay tuned…
