Well I’m not one of those people but if I was I’d like to think I’d be making awesome youtube videos like this:
The greatest thing…ever

Remember the beastly looking giant dude from the NES Double Dragon games that really sucked and would kick your hiney repeatedly causing you to give up all hope of ever beating the game?
No?
His name was Abobo? He had a giant head, was twice as tall as everyone else, would clap the bejoobies out of your head and never wear a shirt so he could show off his impressive physique to all the ladies.
Ringing any bells?
You know, this guy:
Well somebody has created the greatest thing ever and it stars Abobo of all people. No really its the greatest thing ever, check it out:
Now ready to have your mind blown?
ITS A REAL GAME!!!! or at least it almost is as its still in development check out http://abobosbigadventure.com/ for more info…
Seriously this is the type of thing I should be doing with my life, using my random video game knowledge to create super fan service mash up games…but I’m lazy so I’ll just leave it up to someone else to do it…
Random Apple
Posted by Seven in Entertainment, SEVEN on November 3, 2011
In order to reveal a little more behind the uniqueness that is Seven I have decided to start start sharing random songs that I enjoy for no particular reason here on my little corner of the interwebs.
The first entry is “Apple” by Cat Jahnke who if I can judge by internet presence is probably not a household name.
I stumbled on to this song a few months back when watching a little known NBC web series called “CTRL” which features Buster from Arrested Development and a magic keyboard of sorts that lets him control time. I never made it through more than the first episode but this little jem of a catchy tune played with the end credits.
“It goes, it goes, it just goes to show…that anything can happen” INDEED!

For those of you who haven’t played Portal 1 & 2, well first what are you waiting for, and second this probably won’t be funny.
For everyone else…
It ain’t that hard for me to JAM
Posted by Seven in Entertainment, SEVEN on October 4, 2011
Did you know that Space Jam comes out on Blu Ray today? Well it does.
Did you also know that the original movie website from the 1996 release is still alive and well (if you can call it well) on the interwebs at http://www2.warnerbros.com/spacejam/movie/jam.htm
Well it is. That site is like a bad trip back in time, to a world where windows 95 was king. Where every website featured horrible tiled backgrounds with text in garish colors centered over them in an attempt to make them legible against the background. And a world where frames, YES FRAMES, were going to revolutionize the internet…
It’s amazing that Warner Brothers still allows this thing to exist but there it is. People, please don’t remember the 90′s fondly. If sites like this prove anything its that it was far worse then any of us imagined…
Now if you’ll excuse me…the greatest talking toy in history wants me to go play some basketball…
News flash: Disney likes making money!
Posted by Seven in Entertainment, SEVEN on October 4, 2011
And after the surprising success of the re-release of the Lion King in 3D Disney now has plans to re-release 4 more fan favorite films in 3D in 2012 and 2013. Beauty and the Beast 3D will be first on the list to hit theaters on January 13, 2012. That will be followed up by Finding Nemo 3D on September 14, 2012. Then following the same pattern Monsters Inc 3D will hit on January 18, 2013 and The Little Mermaid 3D will grace us on September 13, 2013.
I wouldn’t be shocked if Disney follows the same pattern and also releases Blu Ray versions of the films following the theatrical release, especially with Nemo and Little Mermaid as they have yet to hit Blu Ray.
Wonder just how far Disney can milk these cows. Can Aladdin 3D be far behind?
I’m going to get Arrested in 2013
Posted by Seven in Entertainment, SEVEN on October 3, 2011
Arrested Development (the little show that couldn’t not the 90′s alternative hip hop group) is not only coming back for the oft rumored movie (I first posted on the rumor of a movie back in 2007) but its also coming back for an abbreviated season.
The details are a bit unclear but it looks like there will be 9 or 10 episodes, each dealing with an individual character and where they are now. That will then be followed up by a full on movie which will hit theaters in 2013 and focus on the reunion of our dysfunctional friends. What isn’t known is what network will air the show but it looks like Showtime or Netflix are the front runners at this point.
So can we believe it this time? We’ve been hearing about the movie since the show went off the air and each time the rumors heat up, they just as quickly die back down for months at a time. This time it does appear as though its being “confirmed”, at least if you can believe Will Arnett who tweeted “I’m peeing with @batemanjason at the moment..and we can confirm that we are going to make new AD eps and a movie”
What I can’t decide is if I want this or not. Don’t get me wrong I’m a huge fan of the show and was upset to see it go off the air but when it comes back…what if its not as good anymore? Will the legion of AD fans just say its good even if it isn’t? Shouldn’t we all be careful what we wish for? I mean we wished for more Star Wars and look where that has gotten us? Do we really want more Arrested Development, or should we just remember it for the comic genius it always will be and not tarnish the legacy…
Community
Posted by Seven in Entertainment, SEVEN on September 15, 2011
Okay so Community is probably without a doubt my favorite show on TV at the moment. If you’ve never seen it be sure to check out this recap of season 2 before season 3 starts off next week…
And if you have seen it…can you believe how convincingly they turned the show into a drama there?
Nike Air Mag
Posted by Seven in Entertainment on September 7, 2011
So I don’t know how to say this…
Remember the mythical power laces shoe Marty McFly sports in Back to the Future II? Well apparently Nike is really making the shoe:
These are rumored to go on sale later this year and will feature actual power laces. No idea on the price. This all feels like a bad april fools joke. I know people have been clamoring for this release for years but come on, look at the shoe its hideous! Still will be fun to see a piece of movie magic come to life I guess…
(UPDATE 9/9/11) Okay these are out now, are limited to 1500 pairs, can only be bought on Ebay for insane prices and don’t have actual power laces…but all the money is going to Michael J Fox’s charity so that’s good I guess…
