Lineup set for NBA dunk contest

The field is set for the next slam dunk competition in New Orleans next month.  Are you ready for this, Toronto’s Jamario Moon, defending champion Gerald Green of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Orlando’s Dwight Howard and Rudy Gay of the Memphis Grizzlies.  How exciting is that!?

Wait, it gets better.  This year, fans have a voice as they will open up the voting to the www as well as the texters.  But the fans will have to wait until after the first round of dunks.  They will only be able to vote on the last two contestants and their weight will equal the live judges.  My money is still on Yao Ming.

Fan Made Charles Barkley RPG sees full release…

And then my head exploded…

Seriously someone out there deemed it worth their time to make a Charles Barkley themed RPG.  I don’t even know what to say.  Perhaps this will explain it:

The Great B-Ball Purge of 2041, a day so painful to some that it is referred to only as the “B-Ballnacht”. Thousands upon thousands of the world’s greatest ballers were massacred in a swath of violence and sports bigotry as the game was outlawed worldwide. The reason: the Chaos Dunk, a jam so powerful its mere existence threatens the balance of chaos and order. Among the few ballers and fans that survived the basketball genocide was Charles Barkley, the man capable of performing the “Verboten Jam”…

Flash forward 12 years to the post-cyberpocalyptic ruins of Neo New York, 2053. A Chaos Dunk rocks the island of Manhattan, killing 15 million. When the finger is put on the aging Charles Barkley, he must evade the capture of the B-Ball Removal Department, led by former friend and baller Michael Jordan, and disappear into the dangerous underground of the post-cyberpocalypse to clear his name and find out the mysterious truth behind the Chaos Dunk. Joined by allies along the way, including his son Hoopz, Barkley must face the dangers of a life he thought he gave up a long time ago and discover the secrets behind the terrorist organization B.L.O.O.D.M.O.S.E.S.

I’ll just leave you with this quote, “Are you playing Barkley…or is Barkley playing you?”

WHAT THE ?!?!?!

First of all let me just throw out a hearty Happy New Years to everyone out there in the world wide web or whatever it is the kids are calling it now days.

Second, Showtime did I miss a memo or something concerning our format change to better homes and gardens effective January 1? I know we don’t get a lot of hits with our current format (whatever that may be) but I didn’t think it was this bad.

Seriously though I appreciate the info on the sweet deal (and yes it is a sweet deal, what can I say I like cookbooks.) but I had to check the banner a couple of times to make sure I was on the right website. I feel like the radio DJ who has been hosting the morning show on a hip hop station who comes into work one day and finds out due to dwindling ratings he has been switched over to a country station and now has to do the morning show with a twang!

Actually I’m just tired of looking at those Jordans so anything I can add to the top of the site to bump them down is good for me!

Oh and just so I fit in with the “new theme”…here is a recipe I like to use for some really good waffles!
