Don’t say I didn’t warn you…

Thanks goes out to the folks on NikeTalk as always.

I know the once prolific Reality Rap Up is now little more then a distant memory but I am still in fact a big fan of Survivor. Sure with each season I find myself less and less enthused to watch as the show goes on to the point where I almost don’t care about watching the finale but thats besides the point. Each new season I still wait with baited breath to find out where its going to take place and who is going to be on the cast.

So you can imagine my dismay when I found out a few weeks back that the next season of Survivor (the 16th and rumored to be last season although I doubt that will be the case) will be a second take of Survivor Allstars (aka the season that never happened).

Oh sure there have been some enjoyable tribe mates since the last round of all stars that I wouldn’t mind seeing on my TV screen again but for every Tom, Ian, Yao Man or James there has been a Scout, Katie, Peih-Gee or Jean Robert. That and whether anyone wants to admit it or not this show changed after Allstars broke the way it was played and not in a good way in my eyes. So what more damage could be done?

Two words…Johnny Fairplay…

Guess it will finally be easy to make the break and tune my Tivo into something else come Thursday night.

Oh and by the way I’m appalled that after trying to apply for this show on multiple occasions on years gone by that I was not included for this “super fans” season. Guess Probst thought I wouldn’t want to be on the show anymore since I stopped writing the Rap-Up.

Check out the new teaser trailer for this summers sequel to Batman Begins.  Between this and Iron Man it should be a fun summer for us super hero geeks.

Here is a fun little article from ESPN’s Uni Watch and video of a huge collector of those old-time favorite helmets that you could buy out of gumball machines.  I myself have a small collection of these funsize helmets so it is cool to see the variety that this collector has amassed.  I myself just watched the video but I’m sure the article recaps the high points.

I recently noticed that Nintendo has made Double Dribble available on their Virtual Console and it brought a smile to my face.  Seven and I spent a lot of time with this game back in the day when they didn’t even have an NBA license.  I recall jumping down the sideline and then hitting threes all day long and I vaguely remember the cutaway dunk scenes.  I have not downloaded a virtual game yet but this is tempting.
