Droppin

So occasionally in my web wanderings I’ll stumble upon the fantastic time waster that is Wikipedia, and so it was earlier tonight that I found myself searching for a track listing for an old Tribe Called Quest album to assist in moving a few tracks from the Midnight Marauders CD onto my MP3 player.  Long story short I eventually found myself on the page for the Wu Tang Clan.  Those of you who aren’t familiar with the clan…well I don’t know what I can tell you but they were one of the if not THE most influential family of hip hop back in the late 90′s.  Anywho the reason I’m telling you about all of this is because I stumbled upon the news that the Clan is getting ready to release their 5th album this year to be titled “8 Diagrams”.  Not sure if I’m up for Wu Tang albums anymore but back in my far off youth I was a pretty big fan of the clan.  Anyway, since I hadn’t heard about this I thought I would share with the world at large.  Check out the official wikipedia site for “8 Diagrams” below.

The NFL season is drawing near and I have yet to address my feelings on the Raiders, mostly because I’m usually optimistic each year and lately my dreams have been shattered.  With that said, I am optomistic that the Raiders will be better this year.  I believe that Kiffin will breathe new life into the program and will over time, get this team on the right path.  I don’t think we will make the playoffs this year but the Raiders should win more games this year.  For a couple of reasons why, check out this SI training camp article.SI.com – Writers – Training Camp Postcard: Raiders – Friday August 10, 2007 3:19PM
