UNC-Georgetown Postgame Quotes
The Heels did struggle at odd times this year which gave me the impression that they would not win it all but as a fan I still wanted them to. That was a disappointing loss yesterday, the Heels could very easily be in the final four but alas, they are not.
If everyone (minus the seniors) come back next year, we should be the team to beat and this time, I would expect them to go all the way.
Thanks for the good year! GO HEELS!
The 76ers have unveiled a new road uni which recognizes the great unis of the past by making the predominant color red. I think this is a good move for the franchise as they should consider going back to this color scheme full time in my opinion.
The webmaster for the Chargers posted a header that showed their new look earlier than planned and so they have decided to make the announcement now. The most dramatic change is that they will be using a white helmet full time next year. They will be having a fashion show next Wednesday to officially unveil the new set but here is a sneak peek. I personally think they are a little too busy and they would have been better off switching between the set from last year and their powder blue retro unis. Oh well, I don’t care if my rivals look silly.
Sony announced this week during the GDC that they would be bringing to PS3 owners around the world a new free “game” that is essentially a virtual world. What you are looking at above is that world. Dubbed “Home”, each PS3 owner will now get a chance to be represented in this virtual world with thier own customizable avatar. Other features of the world will include mini games (for example bowling) or the ability to connect with other users and launch directly into PS3 games (ie find your buddy and challenge him to a game of madden). Its an interesting idea to say the least and I’m all for pretty free things. I guess you could think of this as a cross between the Sims, Second Life and your souped up PS3. I’m sure the reality is that this is Sony’s shot back at the wildley successfull Mii campaign for Nintendo. Wonder if the Big N will do something similar in retaliation…
So for those of you who don’t live and breathe video games a little something called the GDC (game developers conference) is going on right now and lately there seems to be a push to turn this more into an e3-ish event from the developer standpoint as more and more developers are begining to make major announcements at the conference. One such interesting piece of info was released yesterday at master Miyamoto’s press conference where a new trailer for the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy was released. After watching it I have to say I’m a little confused and concerned but Nintendo rarely lets us down when it comes to the pouncing plumber.
