Droppin

So one of the biggest weeks in the history of videogamedom has come and gone and for the first time yours truly has come away with no new system.  It’s a sad day in my house indeed.

It wasn’t for lack of effort, I did everything short of camp out overnight and looking back on it if I had know thats what it would take I may have considered it.  But I thought I had the perfect plan.  A local ShopKo in hicksville USA was getting in 41 bright and shiny Wii’s and after securing my spot in line (10th if you must know) I waited in the freezing temps for nearly two hours before being delivered the fatal blow…THEY ONLY GOT 6!!!!

Mad Rampages ensued as I drove from one end of the valley to the next only to be rebuked at every turn.  Finally (after driving past Best Buy and the line of approximately 150 people, how many dang Wii’s did they get?!?!) I pulled up to my last choice, Circuit City.  After pulling into the parking lot I noticed only one person in line and a big sign on the door that said they would have 20 Wii’s.

Surely fate had finally seen fit to bestow the glorious Wii upon me.  So I got a little closer to see when they opened I found out why only one person was in line, they were closed on Sunday!!!

Sadly I returned home, accepting my fate of being Wii-less.  I tried Circut City again this morning this time the line was well over 30 and the realization sunk in…NO Wii FOR Mii!!!!

On a side note…I hear Showtime has an extra PS3 or two he may be interested in selling.  Post offers here if interested…
